Rory unconcerned by Tiger's pre-Masters form

While everyone is falling over themselves to prematurely crown Tiger Woods the 2013 Masters champion, Rory McIlroy is unworried and concentrating on his own game.

Woods is showing his best form in years, has nailed three titles already this season, and vaulted past McIlroy last month to take the World No.1 ranking for the first time since October 2010.

Even, the reigning champion Bubba Watson has already written off his chances of retaining.

But despite a fairly wretched season so far, the man from Northern Ireland with the multimillion Nike deal is quitely confident and unfazed by Wood's superlatives.

"Doesn't make a difference to me at all," McIlroy said. "I'm here to concentrate on myself and play my game and try to shoot the best score that I can. It really doesn't matter what anyone else does.

"If I can do that, I know I'll have a good chance."

Keeping his cool, McIlroy has seen a mini-return to form with a second-place finish at last week's Texas Open, his best return so far in 2013 and perhaps a sign of things to come.

"When I don't play my best, it's when I get into bad habits in my swing," McIlroy said.

"Whenever my golf swing is where I want to be, that's when I produce results and that's what I've seen has started to happen over the past few weeks."
