Scott returns to World Top 10; Piercy Top 200

Adam Scott fine week continues with a return to the top ten in the official World Golf Rankings.

A dominant display in Akron, saw Scott claim his first World Golf Championship title at the WGC - Bridgestone Invitational. Scott's closing round of 65 was enough to take him clear to win by four ahead of American Rickie Fowler and World No.1 Luke Donald.

The Australian's standout performance at the Firestone Country Club has taken him up eight places from 17th to 9th in the Official World Golf Rankings and breaking into the top ten.

The top four remain unchanged with Donald followed by fellow Englishman Lee Westwood, Martin Kaymer of Germany, US Open champion Rory McIlroy and American Steve Stricker.

The other big mover in the top 200 was Scott Piercy who clinched this week's Reno-Tahoe Open winning his maiden Tour title.

Piercy almost lost a three shot lead, but a seven footer on the last proved enough to capture a prize pot of $540,000 at the Montreux Golf and Country Club.

The 32-year-old American jumped a massive 133 places to No.175 in the top 200 of the OWGR.
