Cheyenne Woods signs up with Uncle Tiger

The Woods family are set to welcome another professional golfer into the family with the news that Tiger's niece Cheyenne Woods has signed up with her uncle's agent as she moves onto the LPGA Tour.

Cheyenne, 21, is Wake Forest University's all-time top scorer, boasting an average of 73.31 over four years, and on her mantle sits the trophies of two collegiate tournament victories.

Mark Steinberg welcomed his latest addition to the Excel Sports Management golf stable, where Tiger Woods is his star client.

"We are excited about the opportunity to represent Cheyenne," Steinberg said. "She had an outstanding career at Wake Forest and has the chance to be a major star on the women's golf scene."

Cheyenne Woods said she hopes to compete in the 2012 LPGA season via sponsor exemptions and plans to become a regular member of the tour through qualifying school later in the year.

"I am really looking forward to pursuing my goals and dreams to compete on the highest level," she said.

"As I begin my professional career, I am confident and excited about working with Excel as they help shape my future."
