Preparation � Once you have booked your vacation, in the weeks leading up to the trip, try to create a list of items that you think you might need to pack in your suitcase. It will make it so much easier for you to pack with a comprehensive list to follow and stick to.

Small Essential Bag � This is an essential item for your suitcase. You can be certain that you'll want to buy some souvenirs whilst on vacation, so you'll be able to add this bag to your luggage on your return without having to fork out additional money for an extra bag abroad.

Size � if you're flying somewhere, try to make your suitcase small enough to fit on the plane. This way you'll avoid having to wait hours for luggage at the airport or suffer from any loss of baggage.

Clothing - Thin, synthetic fabrics tend to take up less space and also dry quickly if you need to hand-wash them in a hotel room. Have a good think about what you really do need to take in your suitcase.
