Golf Clubs – Ryder Cup – Tiger Woods looks to the future

Golf Clubs Ryder Cup Tiger Woods looks to the future

Europe has won the Ryder Cup again but Tiger Woods has some ideas on how to swing America 's golf clubs to victory.

Losing streak

America is on a losing streak with the Ryder Cup - Europe won their third consecutive victory this year - but star player Tiger Woods is gearing his golf clubs up for the next tournament. He has had something to say about it.

Improve the game

Woods felt there were three areas the American's could improve on to help them win the Ryder Cup, including using their golf clubs to make timely putts, getting a better start on a home-course advantage and new generations of young players.

"They have a younger crop of players that are playing well, Woods told the press about why he felt the European's had the edge. When our youngest player is 30 years old, that's not a positive thing. Woods was himself 30 when he played in the 2006 Ryder Cup, making him the youngest on his team to swing a set of golf clubs. The European team however had a handful of men in their twenties including Paul Casey and Luke Donald.

Young guns

But the only under-thirties player in America to have won a major tournament on the PGA Tour is 29-year-old Ben Curtis. Tiger Wood's has his sights set for the next Ryder Cup on the young guns of the sport, still in college and young enough to deal with the pressure a tournament puts on your golf clubs and your nerve.

Defeat

Tiger Woods as the world number one player would not be happy to put his golf clubs down in defeat it must sting a little losing the Ryder Cup to Europe on such a wide margin. Woods put the losing streak down to the bad start the team had. The European's had a psychological advantage being ahead from the start sent a positive message throughout the entire team and spurred them on to victory.

Putting

Woods also felt the Europeans simply used their golf clubs better by outputting the American team, securing their victory of the Ryder Cup.

Venue

Woods also felt that the fact the Ryder Cup was held in Ireland was an advantage to the Europeans they would have played their golf clubs on the courses before. The 2008 Ryder Cup will be held at Valhalla in Louisville , which Woods think will be a fairer course.

Good loser

Despite losing the 2006 Ryder Cup, once the golf clubs were down both the Europeans and Americans hung out in a true celebration of golf'.
