Little Italy

As with anything in Vegas, the golf courses are Disney-fied versions of life, and they are impressive. The Siena Golf Club for example is Tuscan-themed � you can swing your golf clubs on its Italian courses in the midst of the Las Vegas desert. With an Italian clubhouse restaurant and views over Lake Siena , it's truly bizarre. The courses aren't tough, and you won't feel Tiger Woods's spirit at work, but it's an enjoyable game.

Angel Park Golf Club

This is one of Vegas's golf clubs that caters for the more elderly player who wants to dust off his golf clubs. Elevated to 3,000 feet it's a little cooler than most and it offers two courses which are negotiable for the shorter hitter. The greens are a little flatter and cater to all levels.

Desert Rose Golf Course

Desert Rose is one of the city's older golf courses but the prices will put a swing in your golf clubs. Wide Bermuda fairways flanked by pine trees mean this is a moderately challenging course.

Primm Valley Golf Club

With two courses on offer this is a great place to swing your golf clubs; the only problem being this Tom Fazio complex is a good three-quarter of an hours drive from the Strip. Great if you want a break from the crowds.

Off course

Las Vegas is also great for groups of golfers. It's the whole package � as well as some varied golf courses to swing your clubs on, the city is a great place to go off course too. With exploding fountains, and all-night casinos all trying to out-dazzle each other, it won't be too hard putting your golf clubs down and leaving the courses behind at the end of a day's golfing to enjoy its nightlife.
