Oakmont Country Club

Oakmont Country Club is a prestigious country club in Oakmont , Pennsylvania , which is 15 miles northeast of downtown Pittsburgh in the Allegheny River Valley . It has hosted the U.S. Open seven times already. It has also played host to three PGA Championships, five U.S. Amateur Championships, and the U.S. Women's Open once, and will host it again in 2010. The course is forever remembered for Johnny Miller's unforgettable 63 at the 1973 U.S. Open Golf Championship. Miller won the event and a place in U.S. Open Golf history.

Muirfield

Muirfield is a golf course in Gullane, East Lothian, Scotland which is one of the courses used in rotation for the Open Championship. Muirfield has hosted the Open Championship fifteen times, most recently in 2002 when Ernie Els lifted the trophy. Other past winners at Muirfield include Nick Faldo (twice), Tom Watson, Lee Trevino, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Henry Cotton, Alf Perry, Walter Hagen, Harry Vardon and Harold Hilton. Muirfield has also hosted the Amateur Championship, the Ryder Cup, the Walker Cup, the Curtis Cup and many other tournaments.

Medinah Country Club

Medinah Country Club is a country club in Medinah , Illinois with nearly 600 members. Founded in 1925 by Medinah Shriners, its 460 acres contains three champion golf courses. Medinah is best known for course number 3, a 7,508 yard (7,385 m) course that has hosted three U.S. Opens (1949, 1975 and 1990) and two PGA Championships (1999, 2006). Many golf legends have played course number 3, beginning with "Lighthorse" Harry Cooper at the Medinah Open in 1930 and running through Gene Sarazen, Byron Nelson, Cary Middlecoff, Billy Casper, Gary Player, Hale Irwin, and finally Tiger Woods.
