No Yeon Choi has won the LPGA’s Jamie Farr Owens Coring Classic in Sylvania, Ohio
The South Korean Ladies golfer won the tournament after a four way playoff between herself, fellow South Korean golfers, In-Kyung Kim and Song-Hee Kim, and American Christina Kim.
Choi led after each of her first three rounds and was two up at the turn in her last round, but bogeyed the 14th and 15th to lose the lead and finish 14 –under 270
In-Kyung Kim who shot 64 in the final round, found herself in the playoff after 4 birdies in the last seven holes.
Song-Hee Kim who had a final round 66, also finished on 14 under for a place in the play-off.
Christina Kim playing with Choi found herself five behind her playing partner when she double bogeyed the tenth, but birdied four of the last holes to join the playoff group.
The playoff took place on holes 17 and 18, both par fives.
All four golfers missed their birdie putts on the 18th taking the payoff to the next hole, the 17th, where Song-Hee Kim lost her chance after she flew her third shot over the green and both Christina Kim and In-Kyung Kim missed their birdie putts, leaving Choi to tap hers in and win the golf tournament.
