Woods to host fans Q&A at Quail Hollow

Still the most sought-after man in golf, Tiger Woods will be taking questions before the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow.

But not, for a change, from the people whose job it is to ask them.

There will be no press conference in the traditional sense prior to Woods return to the club in Charlotte, NC. Instead, the 14-time-major winner is turning to his fans on social media, and will take questions from Facebook and Twitter to be answered in a video posted on his website Monday.

"We've been thinking about this for a couple of months now," Woods's agent Mark Steinberg told ESPN.com on Friday night.

"We wanted to have a little bit more direct interaction with fans, and they've been very good to him over the years. We're probably a little bit behind with social media and this is a way to do that."

Steinberg stressed this was not due to negative media coverage of Woods, who suffered his worst ever finish at the masters, where he tied for 40th. The agent also confirmed that his client would meet with media after his rounds and before major championships.

After Quail Hollow, Woods is due to take part at the PGA Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass on May 10-13.
