Stenson claims DP Tour Title

Henrik Stenson proved he could win big tournaments in the United States last year by winning the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup.

On Sunday, he proved he's just as good on the other side of the world as well.
Stenson fired an 8-under 64 to win the European Tour's Race to Dubai in the UAE.

He's the first golfer to win the FedEx Cup and the Euro championship in the same season.

Sunday was his first victory this season on the European Tour. He fired six birdies in the final round, then finished in top style with an eagle on the 18th hole that gave him a score of 25-under for the tournament.

That finishing kick left little to be debated. Ian Poulter finished 6 strokes back at 19-under. He shot a 66 on Sunday by birdying his last two holes. Poulter also finished second in the points total for the Race to Dubai.

France's Victor Dubuisson finished third at 17-under, shooting a 71 on Thursday. Fourth place was the optimistic Rory McIlroy. McIlory, who reconfirmed his relationship with tennis-playing girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki this week, fired a 67 to finish tied for fifth place at 15-under.

Masters champion Justin Rose tied for 10th place.
