Bohn current Zurich Classic Leader

Jason Bohn is the current leader of the Zurich Classic Golf Tournament in Avondale, Louisiana

He shot eight birdies and one bogey, to finish on 65, just one shot short of the course record of 64, set by Kyle Reifers in 2007

“I just putted extremely well today. Every good opportunity I had for birdie, I made it. And I made a couple of good par-saving putts. So, then, you know, just to lose one on the last hole, I think I'll forget about it tonight” he said

His score was helped by the calm weather in the morning when he teed off his first golf ball. By the afternoon the wind had got up which made the conditions on the golf course much tougher, really challenging the golfer’s shots.

There is not much coverage out here on this golf course," Dufner said. "It's pretty open. So if it can get windy, that will make play a lot more difficult."

"It was blowing," said Owen, who made five birdies on the front nine. "There were a few gusts, but it's obviously tough."

Jason Dufner, John Senden, Jeff Overton, Greg Owen and Chris Couch are joint second placed, two shot behind Jason Bohn

Five players finished on 68, Charles Howell III, David Duval, Kevin Sutherland, K.J.Choi and Troy Merritt.
