Woods still top earner in golf

Despite not winning a single tournament in 2010, Tiger Woods is still the top earner in golf.

According to Golf Digest, who have compiled their findings after talking to agents, players and executives of companies involved in endorsements and sponsorship deals, as well as using the official money lists of the leading golf Tours, Tiger still earnt $74.2 million.

His income has decreased by $48 million in 2010, after the scandal regarding his extra marital affairs came to light at the end of 2009, causing both AT&T and Accenture end their association with him.

Only $2.9 million came from tournament prizes, the rest of his income was made up from endorsements, sponsorships and appearance fees.

He is still paid by Nike, Electronic Arts, Procter & Gamble's Gillette, Berkshire Hathaway's NetJets unit, LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton's Tag Heuer, Upper Deck and TLC Laser Vision Centers.

Phil Mickelson was second on the list earning $40.18 million, Arnold Palmer third on $36 million, followed by Greg Norman $30 million, Jack Nicklaus $25.17 million and Jim Furyk $23.58 million.
