Australian Adam Scott has won the Texas Open at the Newoaks Course at TPC, San Antonio.
It is his seventh tour victory, and his first this year and earns him a prize of $1,098,000 and takes him to 17th in the FedEx Cup.
He last won a title two years ago at the HP Byron Nelson Championship.
Heavy rain on Friday meant that the course was a washout, so that 36 holes of golf had to be played on the final day.
Scott rallied back after two bogeys on his third round of golf with an eagle to finish on 66. As the day progressed, his golf got stronger and he finished his final round with six birdies on 67, taking his final score to 14 under 274.
Fredrik Jackson from Swedon finished second on 13 under, and Aarin Baddeley, Ernie Els and Jimmy Walker all tied for third place.
Talking about his victory Scott said
"Everyone has fairly short memories in this game, you've got to be out there all the time to be talked about, and hopefully I can keep going with this form amd they can talk about me as one of the great players in the game"
